This is the Homestead Manager Public Beta area.  The Public Beta is available for testing new features that aren't yet in the production release.  You can have either the Production release or the Public Beta release installed but not both.  (You do not need to uninstall before installing either the Production or Public Beta release, they will "overlay" each other)

Version 1.07A09 - January 16, 2012

  •  "Find" function on 'lists' display (and reminders) now greatly enhanced. (find across columns, forward and backward buttons)
  •  Added 'external' reminder program for Homestead Manager reminders. (So that you are notified of reminders when they come due even if you don't run Homestead Manager) After install reboot or start the external reminder program from shortcut.
  •  If no homestead is open, the 'reminders' menu items are now properly disabled.
  •  Changes to installation program
  •  New Icons
  •  Left mouse button on reminder dialog date field will invoke calendar
  •  Fix to Check for update (only an issue when run at Homestead Manager start)

  •  Added "Reminders".  (General, Animal, Next Planned Procedure and Breeding)
  •  When adding new animal program, program was not properly setting 'active' and 'fixed' values when saving animal.
  •  Fixed resize issue with the "Apply" button on animal screen. 
  •  Added an 'x' in front of non-active animals on main display (if non-active animals are not suppressed from the display)

  • Gestation and Heat values can now be specified PER animal.  (Animal, then breed, then specie is the order that those values will be used)
  •  Additional work with Breeding Clipboard (proper sorting of columns)
  •  Reworked the "Gestation" tab for Breeding.  (Added additional options)
  •  Reworked the edit animal screen, added Heat and Gestation.
  •  Added an "Offspring" button on the edit animal screen which will show a list of offspring for the current animal.

Version 1.05A04 - February 15, 2011

  •  "Breeds" can now be displayed from the edit Specie dialog.  (And setting gestation or heat to 0 or a breeding reminder to blanks will cause that equivalent field to be updated for all breed records for that specie as well)
  •  Added breeding reminders to specie and breed tables in reports.
  •  Fixed bug in reporting that could incorrectly 'hyperlink' a specie to an item in a milking table.
  •  Fixed bug (introduced in A03) that could cause program termination when selecting a "BR" record in the details list OR sorting the details list.
  •  'Born' and 'Died' values can now be set when adding a new animal.  (Previously you had to create the animal and press "OK", then edit the animal to display the "Born" and "Died" buttons)

Version 1.05A03 - February 14, 2011

  •  Additional breeding clipboard/breeding records work including "Reminders".
  •  "BR" record on main screen changed to show date of current status (such as "Delivered", "Due", etc.)
  •  Added ability to add/edit born and death information from animal screen.
  •  Fixed bug with changing breed record not saving heat information.
  •  Enable the "Meta List" on graphic image edit screen so that metadata can be scrolled.
  •  Fix to database update routine (when program updates homestead with new features) to prevent "Column Not Found" error.

Version 1.05A02 - February 2, 2011

  •  Added "Breeding Clipboard" (and 'heat' information to species and breeds)
  •  Added "Clipboards' to main menu for invocation of Breeding and Milking clipboards.
  •  Breeding information in "Details 2" list now will show the dam and sire label (if supplied) versus "Dam" and "Sire".  (For example, "Cow" and "Bull")
  •  The gestation tab for breeding now will show if the gestation values are from the specie record or the breeding record.  (The 1st "radio button")
  •  Changes to gestation calculation for breeding records.  (In certain circumstances it would say "Not enough information" when it did in fact have enough to calculate gestation)
  •  Added 'heat' information to specie data which should automatically update the users homestead during conversion to new version.
  •  Changes to date formatting routine to allow display of dates without year if the date is less than 1 year old.  (Used by Breeding Clipboard)
  •  Additional changes to "Rename Homestead" to allow changing between upper and lowercase characters but otherwise using the same name.
  •  Fix to saving of gestation values when adding a new breed.  (Wasn't properly saving the values)
  •  The "Wizard" now has progress messages and is multi-threaded to be more responsive during data addition.
  •  Minor change to registration code routine.

Version 1.04A01 - November 23, 2010

  •  Added "Milking" records (which now adds a new option to the species record, Milking=Y/N)
  •  Specie Gestation information will automatically update in users database from specie default data if not set by user.
  •  Body Score field (Characteristics) for Kilograms now allow you to press '.' to tab to decimal field from whole number field.
  •  Fixed bug when editing specie record... would not save gestation information if you tried to change it.

  •  Added ability to turn off display of Record Identification Numbers (RIN) on reports.
  •  Added ability to suppress Unpopulated fields on reports (and is the default action)

  •  Equivalent to Production Release 1.01
  • Added ability to specify the backup path.   (Found on "Tools", "Options" dialog)
  •  On the "View", "Contacts" and "View", "Lists" screen, when selecting an item you now have a "Usage" button.  Pressing this button will show how that item is used in the Homestead.  

Version 1.01A02 - April 6, 2010

  •  Added 'Pedigree' to the 'Edit' menu.
  •  Added a 'PD' (Pedigree) record to the Events list on the main screen.  Selecting 'PD' in the list then shows pedigree information in the 'Details' list.
